Verdict
Flow Music is the old Riffusion and ProducerAI studio, bought by Google in February 2026 and now running its Lyria 3.5 model. The free account gets daily credits worth about six songs and lets them be downloaded as MP3, WAV or stems, which Udio and Suno's free plans no longer do. individual reviewers find it weaker than Suno outside mainstream genres, and Google keeps uploads and chats to train its models unless the setting is switched off.

“Lyria 3.5 vocals are on a different level. Sound too real. Downside is the app is buggy and there is not much control.”

“It has serious problems with any song that has no guitar. I have to tell it multiple times in each prompt, and after it gives me another guitar track, and it just keeps throwing guitars into my music.”

Hands-on with Lyria 3.5: one deliberate song was forgettable 'slop', while an accidental one was 'very bad' but oddly likeable; notes Flow Music 'hasn't really set the world on fire'.
- AI Alleyway 2026-10-07
Most generous with files of the AI song makers it tested: a free day gave five tracks plus MP3, WAV and stems and sang supplied lyrics word for word; music videos are expensive in credits and there's no written licence.

News report on the iOS app (18+ only), section editing, covers and Gemini Omni music videos; likens the cover feature to Suno's.

FAQ
Is Google Flow Music free?
Yes. The free plan tops up credits daily and AI Alleyway's October 2026 test got about six songs a day, with MP3, WAV and stem downloads included. Paid plans start at $6 a month, and Google AI Plus, Pro and Ultra subscribers get a tier included.
Does Google Flow Music work in the UK?
Yes. The United Kingdom is on Google's list of supported countries, and the app is on the UK App Store and Google Play. Users must be 18 or over and verify their age.
Is Google Flow Music the same as Riffusion?
It grew out of it. Riffusion became ProducerAI, Google bought ProducerAI in February 2026 and renamed it Google Flow Music in April. Some long-time Riffusion users in user reviews say the old library was wiped in the move and quality dropped.
Google Flow Music vs Suno?
Flow Music's free plan allows downloads, which Suno's free plan does not. individual reviewers are split on sound, with some preferring Lyria 3.5 vocals and others saying Suno handles unusual genres better.
Does Google use my songs to train its AI?
By default, yes. Turning off 'Help improve Google Flow Music' stops it, but conversations already sampled for human review are kept for up to 18 months.
